After a passage in the United States, and the preparations for a new exhibition in Belgium, artist DAve SChweitzer is back in Provence, France, his second home, for an exhibition of over fifty paintings. He calls them “internal portraits”. They are a mixture of differents techniques, arising from his autodidact learning process, which has permitted him to traverse barriers where others are stopped. Besides paintings from the series “Hate to Love Antwerp” and “Sushi and Burgers”, exhibited before in Los Angeles, five paintings of the famous series “POSITIVE”, made with HIV positive blood, will be shown exclusively in France during this exhibition. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has shown interest in SChweitzer’s work.
